Take Notes During the Sunday Teaching

The Faintest Ink is More Powerful Than the Strongest Memory

Taking notes during the Sunday teaching is a great way to get more out of the teaching. This also gives you a chance to review what you have learned and share it with a friend.

Review the resource called 8 Tips for Taking Good Sermon Notes.

After reviewing this resource try to apply the tips on an upcoming Sunday Morning.

Tip #6 from the guide is:

“Before the sermon ends, write down a one-sentence summary of the whole message in your own words.”

Take your brief summary and share it with someone else.

When you share what you have learned it benefits you because the teaching becomes locked in your memory.

When you share what you have learned it benefits the other person because they have the opportunity to hear about God’s Word and about His Church!

Think this might be the next step for you?

Have a Growth Talk conversation about it! A Growth Talk is a chance to discuss with someone else the step you are preparing to take.
