Connect Your Friends to Jesus and The Church Through Sports
Discovery Sports exists to connect people to Jesus by sharing the Gospel and getting the athletes plugged into Discovery Church. It’s a great way to bring people together to hear the Gospel and learn more about Jesus. We all know people who don’t know Jesus yet and who would normally not be interested in going to church. But maybe they do like basketball, pickleball, running, or another sport. Discovery Sports allows you to invite your friends into an environment they are already comfortable with that includes a focus on connecting them to Jesus.
Ask God which friends he wants you to invite that don’t know Jesus but you think would be interested in playing a sport with you.
Discuss with your BGP who those people are and have them pray with you that God would provide you with an opportunity to invite them.
