Train to Lead A Group

It is a Privilege to Lead Others

God designed us for community. In Acts 2 we find one of the earliest descriptions of The Church. The description is full of community!

“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Acts 2:46-47

It’s hard to stand alone. Living for Christ in community with other followers of Jesus gives us strength, encouragement and accountability. Living without community allows us to be more susceptible to attack and defeat. Life is better together!

At Discovery, our goal is that every person in our church will be a part of a group. At this point in your journey you have most likely already participated in a group at Discovery. Leaders volunteered their time and energy in order to lead you well. Now it is time to begin preparing to give back to the community. It is time to prepare yourself to lead others.

To begin this process visit the Groups page and click on “Become A Group Facilitator”.
