Why Should I Serve?
Serving others at Discovery Church is a beautiful way to live out what Jesus taught:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31
As we serve others in the church we have the unique opportunity to put our love for God and our love for our neighbors in practice at the same time!
The question for each of us is not “should I serve?” but “where should I serve!”.
We offer a class called 301: Spiritual Gifts, which will help you understand what your best fit for service may be. We highly recommend this class, but also encourage you not to wait to begin serving others. You can begin serving in some of the following areas.

- Ushers
- Safety
- Facilities Prep
DC Kids Team
- Check-in
- Classroom teacher
- Classroom assistant
- Small group leader
- Worship team.
