Introduce Others to Journaling

The Power of Journaling

"I wonder if there are times when Jesus passes by and I fail to see him for who he really is."

In the following teaching, Don Cousins explains the importance of “remembering” what God has done in our lives as a way to anchor our faith in God. As a disciple-making-disciple, you have learned things during your walk with Christ that newer disciples may not know or find hard to do. Journaling could be one of those things. If journaling is a regular part of your life and has made a difference in it, consider passing your knowledge on to a newer disciple to help them grow. Below the video is a guide for how to do so.

To Complete This Step:
  1. Prayerfully consider if you could guide someone through journaling.
  2. Together or separately, watch the teaching above.
  3.  Meet with them and come up with a plan for journaling regularly.
  4. Follow up with them after 30 days.
    • Discuss the impact journaling has had in their life.
    • Celebrate some of the God sightings they recorded.
    • Discuss any tweaks they want to make to their plan.
  5. Have them continue this new habit of journaling.
