Accountability Partners

Why Stay Accountable?

Accountability provides so much spiritual growth because it allows for a safe place for us to be honest, confess our sins, celebrate our victories, pray for one another, and share what we are learning.

Two are better than one,

because they have a good return for their labor:

If either of them falls down,

one can help the other up.

But pity anyone who falls

and has no one to help them up.

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.

But how can one keep warm alone?

Though one may be overpowered,

    two can defend themselves.

A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Select an Accountability Partner:

Select an accountability partner using the following tips listed in the article.

“So, how do we find this much-needed accountability?

    1. Pray and ask God to lead you to a trusted person and ask them to form an accountability relationship.
    2. Decide on a time, place, and frequency of meeting. It doesn’t have to be in person. One of my accountability partners and I have agreed to text each other every morning. This agreement has strengthened my relationship with God.
    3. With your accountability partner, discuss how you both want to grow spiritually
    4. Decide on a set of goals to accomplish or questions you will ask.
    5. Commit to praying for one another.

After establishing an accountability relationship talk with your partner about a schedule of meeting together and how you will meet (in person, online, over the phone).”

Meet together at least 4 times before completing this step.
